The Apple Tv is one of the greatest products released from Apple. It is extremely popular with the in crowd but most people have no idea what it is or what the Apple TV does. The Apple TV is many things mainly a connection between the majority of Apple products. The very first thing we noticed was how you can watch a movie on your Ipad in one room then walk into another and put it on your TV. You can also take music from your Ipod and stream it directly to your TV. You could be watching a streaming video on your Apple computer, Itouch, Ipod or Iphone and stream it right to your television with the Apple TV. It takes all forms of Apple media and centers it into one streaming device. During our Apple TV review we tested and tried every function. The most powerful and useful feature to us is streaming video right from the internet to your TV. We were able to login to our Netflix account through the Apple TV and Stream movies without a computer, we also discovered that it streams more then just Netflix but it also supports YouTube, Vimeo, NHL GameCenter, MLB.TV, NBA TV, and Flickr all in High definition. Youtube is currently also renting new releases which you can also play in HD through your Apple TV. Part of our Apple TV review as to judge the video quality as well streaming rental quality, rest assure during all times the video was great. We rented standard and high definition videos from the Apple Itunes Store online. While we watched our streaming video we noticed no lagging and zero stalling as the Apple TV supports a super powerful A4 chip you won’t run into any issues. It also has connection ports for HDMI (Supports 720p Resolution), optical audio connection, IR port, Ethernet port, and Micro-USB. The whole unit is less then 4 inches by 4 inches and is extremely light. The Apple Tv will play all sorts of formats of audio and video such as MP3, MPEG-4, H.264, Jpeg, Gif, Tif, MP3 VBR, Itunes, AIFF and Wav. The system has a built in 8gb for cache however you should not be concerned with the memory of the Apple Tv as it is meant for purely streaming audio and video. This is a major benefit as many Apple consumers already have Ipods and Ipads filled with digital media that they don’t want to re buy. You can simply plug in the Apple TV to your network and hit play. With most other units you need to fumble around in your network configurations to make it stream properly on your television. Right now You can get Fox, ABC, BBC with CBS and NBC in the works.When browsing Rentals and streaming media during our Apple TV review we noticed how easy it is to use. The GUI is controlled by the Aluminum remote the Apple Tv comes with or your media device such as an Ipad with instant controls with no downtime. The unit is ultra efficient as it uses less then 6 watts to power. Somethings that we would have liked to see in the next version (Apple TV 3) Would be a DVR like quality with increased memory to handle this feature. We also would like to see an upgrade of 1080p on the resolution side of things. We know that Apple is famous for computers and music media but we are hearing a lot of complaints surrounding the ability to stream Pandora music or other free music internet channels. We would like to add that Apple Tv does a few thousand radio channels you can stream music and talk stations.

The last and closing part of our Apple TV review is our recommendation. We fully recommend the Apple TV to anyone who wants to connect their entire media (Music, Movies, Pictures) in one easy device. It is currently priced around ninety nine dollars relative to other Idevices. We do await for the Apple TV 3 but for right now until streaming rental prices come down we are comfortable with our 2nd generation.
